Can I use old fashioned oats for monster cookies?

Old-fashioned oats or rolled oats are the best oats to use for monster cookies. Quick or instant oats are thinner and finer, so you won’t get the delicious crunchy, chewy texture that makes these cookies so special.

Why are my monster cookies flat?

There are a few reasons why your monster cookies might be flat. The first is that you might not be using exact measurements when you’re making the dough. Make sure to use a measuring cup or spoon to get accurate measurements of all your ingredients.

Another reason for flat cookies could be that you’re using room temperature ingredients, particularly butter and eggs. Room temperature ingredients can make the dough spread out more when baking, resulting in flatter cookies. To prevent this, make sure to chill the dough for 15-30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies keep their shape and not spread out as much during baking.

What kind of oats do you use in monster cookies?

There are many different types of oats that can be used in monster cookies, but I prefer to use Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats. These oats have a great texture and flavor that really complement the other ingredients in the cookies.

You can get creative with the add-ins for your monster cookies. Chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, cinnamon chips, and toffee pieces are all great options.

How do you make monster cookies rise?

To make monster cookies rise, you need to use exact measurements and room temperature ingredients. You also need to chill the dough for 15-30 minutes before baking.

Using exact measurements is important because it ensures that the ingredients are properly combined. Room temperature ingredients are also important because they help the dough to bind together better. chilling the dough helps to firm up the butter and eggs so that they don’t spread out too much when baking.

If you want your monster cookies to be extra fluffy, you can try adding a bit of baking soda to the batter. This will help them to rise more during baking. Just be sure not to add too much, or your cookies will end up with a slightly bitter taste.
