Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/2 cup super fine sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

2. Cream the sugar and butter together in a bowl.

3. Add flour, nuts, salt and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix well until everything is combined. The batter will be very crumbly.

4. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls using your hands, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a Silpat mat.

5. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and allow to cool for 3 minutes before rolling in super fine sugar. Once cooled completely, you can roll them in sugar again if desired
