Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter, softened, 1 cup white sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  • 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla. Gradually add the flour to the mixture until well blended.
  • 3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden brown on the bottom. Cool on wire racks

3. Fill cookie press with dough and form cookies onto two ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 1 1/2 inches apart.

4: Bake for 10 – 12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are just starting to turn golden brown. Remove from oven and set on wire cooling rack for 2 minutes . then transfer cookies to rack to cool completely
