Candied Christmas Cookies

These Candied Christmas Cookies are so good they’ll make your mouth water! They’re soft and chewy with a hint of spice, and they’re covered in a sweet candy coating.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups candied cherries, chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease cookie sheets.

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together eggs, butter and brown sugar.

3. Mix the baking soda with the milk and add it to the mixture. Stir in orange juice and bourbon as well.

4. In a small bowl, lightly toss candied fruits with a small amount of flour until fruits separate easily before adding them into the mixture as well.

5. Add flour, dates and pecans into the mix until well blended then drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet about 2 inches apart from each other..

7 Bake for 8-10 minutes in preheated oven then allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to wire rack to cool completely
