  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar, for dusting

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (170 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract until light.

3. Add the flour and mix until just blended then stir in chopped nuts.

4. Shape dough into a ball then flatten into a disc before wrapping in plastic wrap and refrigerating until cold..
