Donna’s Sherry Wine Cake

Sherry wine cake is a classic dessert that has been around for generations. This cake is perfect for any occasion, and is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters!   • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup dry sherry
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar


1. Oil the sides of a bundt pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup vegetable oil, 1 cup dry sherry, 4 eggs, and 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg.

3. Add a 18.25 ounce package of yellow cake mix and ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar to the bowl and blend all ingredients until well moistened.

4. Pour batter into pan.

5. Bake for 40 minutes or until done then remove from oven and cool..

6. Dust top with confectioners’ sugar before serving
