What is Coca Cola cake made of?

This cake is so easy to make and has so much great chocolate flavor. The cake batter itself is fabulously moist and dense. It’s made with a cup of coke, buttermilk, unsweetened cocoa powder and mini marshmallows. On top is a wonderful Chocolate Icing that turns out like a thin coating of fudge on top.

The Coca Cola in this recipe provides both the liquid and the sugar for the cake. The buttermilk adds tanginess and helps to keep the cake moist, while the cocoa powder gives it that rich chocolate flavor. The mini marshmallows add a bit of sweetness and texture to the cake batter.

For the Chocolate Icing, you’ll need some melted butter, sugar, milk and unsweetened cocoa powder. This icing is very simple to make, but it’s absolutely delicious! It hardens slightly as it cools, so it creates a nice thin coating of fudge-like chocolate on top of the cake.
