Sunday dinner rolls are the perfect addition to any meal. They’re light and fluffy, with a hint of sweetness that makes them irresistible. Plus, they’re super easy to make! Just follow the recipe below and you’ll have delicious rolls in no time.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4-5 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, stir together the yeast, 1/4 cup warm water, and a pinch of sugar. Allow this mixture to sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

2. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs in 1 cup warm water; add oil and salt. Mix this egg mixture into the yeast mixture from step 1. Then gradually add flour until everything is well combined. The dough will be sticky but that’s okay!

3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and allow it to rest at room temperature for 1 hour (this allows the gluten to develop). After an hour, place it in the refrigerator overnight so it can rise (it should double in size).

4. When you’re ready to bake the rolls, divide the dough into 4 equal parts on a floured surface. Roll each section out into a circle shape using a rolling pin or your hands. 5 Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each circle into 8-12 “pizza slice” shapes then roll each slice from the large end towards small end (so they’re slightly pointy). Place them on greased baking sheet(s) leaving some space between each roll since they’ll expand while baking
