Mom’s Pumpkin Pie

This pumpkin pie recipe is one that has been passed down through generations in my family. It is a traditional recipe that is perfect for the holidays. This pie is made with a homemade crust and a filling that is made with fresh pumpkins, eggs, cream, sugar, and spices. The result is a rich and flavorful pie that will be loved by all who try it!

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolk, white sugar and brown sugar until combined. Add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves and stir to combine. Gradually add in milk and cream while stirring. Finally, add in pumpkin puree and mix everything together until smooth.

3. Pour the filling into an unbaked pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven before reducing the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Continue baking for 40-45 minutes or until the filling is set when lightly shaken. Let cool before serving for best results!
