Lady Locks

Instructions

3. Cut dough into quarters and roll each one out onto a floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.

4. Cut strips that are 8 inches long and as wide as you like from the rolled-out dough. Then carefully roll each strip around a clothespin that’s been covered with aluminum foil to form tubes.

5. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown

6. To make filling: cook milk and 4 tablespoons of flour over medium heat stirring constantly until it forms a thick paste let cool completely Beat shortening and confectioner’s sugar in another bowl until fluffy Add marshmallow creme vanilla then add cold paste mixture gradually while beating

7. Fill tubes with cream filling using a pastry bag or ziplock bag with the corner snipped off Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar just before serving
