These Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies are soft, chewy, and full of chocolate peanut butter flavor. They’re made with real peanut butter cups for an extra special treat!

Ingredients

  • -1 cup butter, softened
  • -3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • -3/4 cup white sugar
  • -3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • -2 eggs
  • -1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • -2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • -1 tablespoon baking soda
  • -(optional) 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • -(optional) 1 teaspoon salt
  • -[minimum] 1 and 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi sweet or milk chocolate are best but feel free to use any kind you like!) I also like to add in a handful of chopped peanuts for extra crunch. You could also substitute the chocolate chips for another flavor like butterscotch, mint, etc. Be creative! -10 candy coated peanut butter cups, cut into eighths

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Mix in 1 and 1/2 cups chocolate chips.

3. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Let cool for 1 or 2 minutes on sheet before removing or they will fall apart
