Ready Time
20 mins
Yields
10 servings
Ingredients
- Peanut butter 1 1/2 cups
- Powdered sugar 1 cup
- Graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup
- Milk 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add in the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs and milk until you have a crumbly mixture. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×9 inch pan.
Pour the peanut butter mixture over the graham cracker crust.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. Cut into bars, about 10 in total.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
Use creamy natural peanut butter for the best flavor and texture.
You can also add a pinch of sea salt on top of the bars before refrigerating for a salty-sweet contrast.
If you want a chewier bar, bake the crust in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes before pouring in the peanut butter mixture.
Keep an eye on the bars while they’re refrigerating, as they can become too firm if left in for too long.
You can customize the bars by pressing in some chocolate chips or chopped nuts into the peanut butter mixture for added flavor and texture.
