Ingredients
- For the Sriracha Orange Glazed Green Beans recipe, you’ll need:
- * 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- * 2 tablespoons olive oil
- * 2 cloves garlic, minced
- * 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
- * 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
- * 1 tablespoon honey
- * 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
- * 1/4 teaspoon salt
- * 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- * 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for some heat)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Place the green beans on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, leaving some space between each bean to allow for even roasting.
Drizzle the olive oil over the green beans and sprinkle with minced garlic. Toss the beans gently to coat them evenly with the oil and garlic.
Roast the green beans in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they’re tender and slightly caramelized, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
While the green beans are roasting, prepare the Sriracha orange glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the Sriracha sauce, orange marmalade, honey, orange juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Whisk until the glaze is smooth and well combined.
After the green beans have roasted for 10 minutes, remove them from the oven and brush the Sriracha orange glaze all over them. Return the beans to the oven and continue roasting for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
Remove the green beans from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Serve hot and enjoy the spicy, sweet, and tangy flavors!
Notes
For a more intense orange flavor, use more orange juice or add some orange zest to the glaze.
If you like a milder flavor, reduce or omit the Sriracha sauce.
To make ahead, roast the green beans up to a day in advance, then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Glaze just before serving for optimal flavor.
For a crisper texture, increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) or broil for an additional minute, watching carefully to avoid burning.
