Slow Cooker Spiced Oatmeal is a delicious and easy way to start your day! This recipe is perfect for those mornings when you want something warm and comforting, but don’t have a lot of time to cook. Simply combine all of the ingredients in your slow cooker before you go to bed, and wake up to a delicious breakfast that’s ready to eat!
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 3 1/2 cups milk of choice
- 1 1/2 cups steel-cut oats
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. cardamom
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Add the water, milk, oats, raisins, cinnamon, allspice and cardamom to your slow cooker. Give everything a good stir.
2. Set it to cook on low for 7 hours.
3. When you’re ready to eat, stir the oatmeal thoroughly to make sure that everything is combined and there are no clumps. If it looks dry, add a bit more water or milk.
4. Serve hot with any additional toppings you like (fruit, nuts, etc.). Enjoy!
