Humungous Cookies

These cookies are for when you’re really craving something sweet. They’re big and soft, with plenty of chocolate chips in every bite. Be warned – it’s hard to eat just one!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped semisweet chocolate or 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease two 12 inch pizza pans.

2. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.

3. Using a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until combined well

4. Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture in three additions, blending until dough becomes stiff after each addition

5. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts until well blended

6. Divide dough into two portions then press each half into the prepared pans evenly

7 Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges with firm centers

8 Cool cookie pizzas in pan on wire rack before serving by cutting into wedges
