  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature preferred
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups peeled and thinly sliced Granny Smith apples* (about 4 medium apples) – tossed with lemon juice to prevent browning
