Yields
6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 cups cubed seedless watermelon
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Add the cubed watermelon, Greek yogurt, frozen pineapple chunks, and honey to a blender.
Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.
Add the fresh mint leaves and blend until well combined.
Add the ice cubes and blend until the ice is crushed and the smoothie is thick and slushy.
Pour in the unsweetened almond milk and blend until well combined.
Taste and add salt as needed to balance the sweetness.
Pour the smoothie into 6 glasses and serve immediately.
You can garnish with additional fresh mint leaves, if desired.
Notes
Use ripe watermelon for the best flavor.
If your watermelon isn’t sweet, you can add a little more honey to balance it out.
You can substitute the Greek yogurt with regular yogurt if you don’t have Greek on hand.
It’ll still be a delicious smoothie! If you want a thicker smoothie, add more ice cubes.
If you want it thinner, add a little more almond milk.
Feel free to play around with the amount of honey to your taste.
Some people like it sweeter, while others prefer it less sweet.
Add any other fruits you love to the smoothie to give it your own twist! Maybe some banana for extra creaminess or some berries for added flavor.
You can also make this smoothie ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to a day.
Just give it a quick stir before serving.
