Yields

Ingredients
- Watermelon puree: 2 cups
- Tequila: 1 1/2 cups
- Lime juice: 1 cup
- Simple syrup: 1 cup
- Cointreau or triple sec: 1/2 cup
- Lime wedges: 8
- Salt for rimming glasses: as needed
- Ice: as needed
Instructions
Rim 8 glasses with salt and set aside. In a large pitcher, combine watermelon puree, tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup.
Stir well to combine.
Add Cointreau or triple sec and stir gently. Fill the prepared glasses with ice and pour the margarita mixture over the ice.
Stir gently and garnish with a lime wedge.
Serve immediately and repeat as needed!
Notes
For a more intense watermelon flavor, use 2 1/2 cups of watermelon puree and reduce the simple syrup to 3/4 cup. If you want a clearer margarita, strain the watermelon puree through a fine-mesh sieve before adding it to the pitcher.
Don’t skip the Cointreau or triple sec, it adds a nice orange flavor depth to the margarita! For a fun twist, try using different types of melon purees, such as cantaloupe or honeydew.
You can also make this recipe in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days, just give it a good stir before serving.
