Mini burgers just got a whole lot fancier! Introducing Roast Beef Sliders, where tender slices of roast beef meet caramelized onions, melted cheddar cheese, and a tangy special sauce, all on a toasted bun. It’s a flavor bomb that’s sure to impress your friends and family at your next gathering.
Ready Time
30 mins
Yields
10 servings
Ingredients
- 2 pounds roast beef, thinly sliced
- 20 small hamburger buns
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 10 lettuce leaves
- 10 tomato slices
- 10 pickle slices
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the sliced roast beef on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until warmed through.
While the beef is warming up, toast the hamburger buns by placing them on the oven rack for about 2-3 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Set the sauce aside for now.
In a large skillet, sauté the sliced onions over medium-low heat until they’re softened and caramelized, stirring occasionally.
This will take about 20-25 minutes. Assemble the sliders by spreading a layer of the mayonnaise mixture on the bottom bun, followed by a few slices of the roast beef, a spoonful of caramelized onions, a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese, a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a pickle slice, and finally the top bun.
Season with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of dried thyme.
Serve immediately and get ready for the ooohs and ahhhs!
Notes
Use high-quality roast beef for the best flavor and texture.
You can also use leftover roast beef if you have some on hand.
If you want to get fancy, try using a flavored mayonnaise like garlic or herb to give the sliders an extra boost.
For the caramelized onions, be patient and let them cook low and slow – it’s worth the wait! You can also make the caramelized onions ahead of time and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
If you’re serving a crowd, consider setting up a slider bar with all the toppings and letting everyone assemble their own sliders.
