Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cup flaked coconut

Instructions

1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius.

2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, soda and salt then set it aside.

3. Cream the butter until it becomes fluffy then add sugars, eggs and vanilla extract. Beat well.

4. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well again until blended..

5. Stir in oats, nuts, and coconut then mix until well blended again..

6. Place spoonfuls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart (use a light hand so cookies will be thin).

7 Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
