- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, Gruyere cheese, salt, baking powder, and white pepper.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter until it’s light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, beating until just combined.
The dough will be slightly sticky.

Remove the gougeres from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
