Roll out the thawed phyllo dough to a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
Brush the dough with the melted butter, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the dough, making sure to stay within the border.
