Mrs. Sigg’s Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, butter flavored shortening, and sugars until light and fluffy.

3. Add eggs and mix well.

4. Add peanut butter and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until well blended.
