Looking for a delicious and nostalgic treat? Look no further than Grandma’s ChocChip Delights! These cookies are packed with chocolate chips and are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • -4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • -2 teaspoons baking soda
  • -2 teaspoons salt
  • -2 cups butter, softened
  • -1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • -1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • -2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • -4 eggs
  • 8 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3 cups chopped walnuts – 2 cups candy coated milk chocolate pieces

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Mix flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.

3. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in a huge bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4. Add the semi-sweet chocolate pieces and walnuts to the butter mixture and stir well by hand or with an electric mixer on low speed until mixed in evenly throughout the dough.

5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving enough room for cookies to spread during baking without touching each other on the sheet pan. Gently press 4-6 candy coated milk chocolate pieces into the top of each unbaked cookie dough ball for flavor and color contrast if desired (this step is optional).

6 7 Bake cookies for 11 minutes or until golden brown around edges but still soft in center when lightly pressed with a fingertip Our grandmother’s secret tip: Do not overbake! They will continue cooking while cooling slightly on wire racks after being removed from oven and will become more firm as they cool completely if left on racks too long so be sure to remove them while still slightly undercooked for best results
