Welcome to my kitchen, where aromas dance and flavors ignite! Join me as we embark on a culinary expedition that will tantalize your taste buds with our delectable Crispy Country Ribs with Buttery Ranch Dip.

This scrumptious dish combines succulent ribs, crispy coating, and an irresistibly rich dip that will leave you craving more.

Whether you’re a seasoned barbecue enthusiast or a curious cook, let’s gather our ingredients and ignite the flavors of the countryside.

Ingredients

  • 6 racks St. Louis style ribs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 12 large eggs, beaten
  • 4 sleeves Ritz crackers
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 8 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 ½ cups mayonnaise
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • ½ cup finely chopped chives
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic

Instructions

Step 1: Preparation Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and create a makeshift water bath in a shallow baking pan by pouring in 1 cup of water. Place a wire rack over the pan for the ribs.

Liberally season the ribs with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Slow Roast Arrange the seasoned ribs on the prepared rack, positioning them meat-side up. Transfer to the preheated oven and roast for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the meat can be easily separated between the bones.

Alternatively, you can insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part of the meat; it should reach 180°F (83°C) for doneness.

Remove the ribs from the oven and set aside to cool completely. Step 3: Cutting and Coating Once the ribs are fully cooled, cut them into individual pieces.

In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station: flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of crushed Ritz crackers, coarse black pepper, granulated garlic, and kosher salt in the third.

Step 4: Dredging and Frying Dredge each rib in flour, then dip it into the eggs. Finally, press the ribs into the cracker mixture to evenly coat them.

In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully place 3 or 4 ribs at a time, meat-side down, into the hot oil. Fry for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the ribs from the oil and drain them on paper towels.

Step 5: Seasoning and Serving While the ribs are still hot, sprinkle them generously with Cajun seasoning to enhance their flavor. To prepare the buttery ranch dip, whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, chives, grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Cajun seasoning, red wine vinegar, and minced garlic in a bowl.

Serve the crispy country ribs with the creamy, tangy dip for an irresistible meal.
