Cocoa Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Beat butter or margarine and sugars until creamy.

3. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

4. Add combined flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats and raisins, mix well.

5 .Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart 6 .Bake 10 to 12 minutes until cookies are almost set 7 Do not overbake 8 Cool 1 minute on cookies sheets then move to wire racks 9 Cool – store tightly covered
