Berry And Banana Smoothie
A burst of freshness in a glass – that’s what you’ll get with this Berry and Banana Smoothie! The sweetness of ripe bananas pairs perfectly with the tanginess of mixed berries, all blended to perfection with creamy vanilla yogurt and a hint of honey. A deliciously healthy treat any time of the day!
Ready Time
10 mins
Yields
9 servings
Ingredients
- 3 cups mixed berries (such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries), 3 ripe bananas, 1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 tablespoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, ice cubes (as needed)
Instructions
Add the mixed berries, bananas, vanilla yogurt, almond milk, honey, and vanilla extract to a blender.
Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.
Add ice cubes to the blender if you want a thicker, colder smoothie.
Blend again until the ice is crushed and the smoothie is the desired consistency.
Pour the smoothie into 9 glasses and serve immediately.
You can garnish each glass with a few extra berries or a sprinkle of honey, if desired.
Notes
Use frozen berries if they’re not in season or if you want a thicker, colder smoothie. You can also add other fruits like mango or peach to change up the flavor.
If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add more yogurt or a scoop of protein powder.
For a creamier smoothie, use more almond milk or add a splash of coconut milk. Experiment with different types of yogurt, like coconut or soy yogurt, for a non-dairy smoothie.
Don’t over-blend the mixture, or it’ll become too frothy.
You can also make this smoothie ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours, just give it a good stir before serving.
