Marble bars are a classic dessert that are perfect for any occasion. They are made with a simple combination of butter, sugar, eggs, and flour, but the addition of chocolate and vanilla extract give them their unique flavor. These bars are then baked until they are golden brown and have a crisp texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups chocolate flavored crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a 3 quart saucepan, heat white sugar and corn syrup until bubbles form.

3. Remove from heat, and stir in peanut butter until smooth.

4. Add chocolate flavored crispy rice cereal; stir to coat well. Gently stir in chocolate chips to give marble effect.

5. Press the mixture into a 9×13 inch pan and cool until firm (this may take up to an hour). Cut into bars and enjoy!
