Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas
- 16 slices of whole grain bread
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: sliced almonds or shredded coconut for garnish
Instructions
Slice the bananas into 1-inch thick rounds.
You’ll need about 2 bananas per serving, so divide them evenly among 8 plates or toast boards.
Toast the bread until it’s lightly browned and crispy.
You can do this by baking it in the oven at 350°F for about 5-7 minutes or by toasting it in a toaster.
Spread 1-2 tablespoons of almond butter onto each toasted bread slice, leaving a small border around the edges.
You can use a butter knife or a spreader to get the job done.
Place 2-3 banana slices on top of the almond butter layer, depending on how much banana you like.
Drizzle about 1-2 teaspoons of honey over the bananas.
You can adjust the amount to your taste, but start with this as a guideline.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the honey.
