Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup orange juice // increased by 1/6 cup
  • 3 tablespoons orange zest

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter or margarine until light and fluffy.

3. Add sour cream and eggs, blend well.

4. Stir in sifted flour and remaining ingredients, mix well.

5. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

6. Bake for 8 to 11 minutes, or until edges are light golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.”
