Is cheesecake better baked or no-bake?

There are two main types of cheesecake – baked and no-bake. Both are delicious, but they have very different textures.

Baked cheesecakes are dense and firm, while no-bake cheesecakes are softer and almost mousse-like in texture. So which is better? It really depends on your personal preferences. Some people prefer the denser texture of a baked cheesecake, while others prefer the lighter texture of a no-bake cake.

If you’re undecided, why not try both? I have over 20 recipes for baked cheesecake if you want to give it a go.

Why is my No-bake cheesecake gooey?

One common problem with cheesecakes is that the cream cheese being used adds too much moisture to the cake itself, which can cause it to become runny. This is why many cheesecakes are baked, as they include eggs and other ingredients to add thickness to the cake.

There are several things you can do if your no-bake cheesecake is gooey. One option is to bake it for a short time, just until the center is set. You can also try using a different type of cream cheese, such as Neufchâtel cheese, which has less moisture than regular cream cheese. Finally, make sure you drain any excess liquid from the fruits or other toppings you use on your cheesecake before adding them to the top of the cake.

What’s the difference between New York style cheesecake and Philadelphia style cheesecake?

When most people refer to Philadelphia-style cheesecake, they are actually referring to a version that is marketed by the cream cheese brand. New York style cheesecake typically has sour cream or heavy cream in the mix, while Philadelphia style does not. This means that the latter does not have anything to do with Philadelphia, the city.

So what is the difference between these two types of cheesecake? New York style is said to be richer and denser, due to the addition of sour cream or heavy cream. Philadelphia style, on the other hand, is lighter and fluffier. Some say that this is because there is less fat content in Philly-style cheesecake, since there’s no sour cream or heavy cream added. Others believe that it’s simply due to different proportions of ingredients used.

In terms of taste, both types of cheesecake are delicious! It really just depends on your preference as to which you prefer. If you like a richer, more decadent dessert, then go for New York style. But if you want something lighter and fluffier, then Philly-style might be more up your alley.
