Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips or chunks, chopped walnuts, optional


1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.

2. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3. Gradually add the flour, salt, and baking soda to the mixture, beating until well blended.

4. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (optional).

5. Spread the dough evenly in a greased 14 inch round pizza pan.

6. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown in color.*
