Fruit Drops II
This recipe is for a delicious treat that can be enjoyed any time of day! Fruit Drops are made with fresh fruit and have a light, refreshing flavor. They’re perfect for a snack or dessert, and they’re also great for on-the-go.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon ground cloves, 2 cups packed brown sugar, 4 eggs, ½ cup chopped candied citron, ½ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and spices and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until thick. Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
3. Fold in candied citron and walnuts.
4. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 1-1/2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
5 Bake for 20-30 minutes until lightly colored then cool on wire racks
