Ingredients
- 2 cups pureed dates
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups ground pecans
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
2. In a bowl, mix together the pureed dates, brown sugar, baking powder, eggs, ground pecans and all-purpose flour.
3. Spread the mixture onto an ungreased cookie sheet as thinly as possible.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown in color then cut into 1-2 inch squares while still hot using a knife or pizza cutter. 5. Allow to cool completely before eating then roll each square into balls and coat with confectioner’s sugar
